Noclip Podcast #07 - Lucas Pope (Papers Please / Obra Dinn)

Sadly for us he wasn't too interested in a full production (understandably, he works from his family home in Japan) but was more than happy to come on the podcast and let me pick his design brain.
In our chat we talk about his early career at Naughty Dog, going indie to make Papers Please, and the trouble with researching old boats. I absolutely loved this conversation and think it's one of our strongest episodes yet. I hope you enjoy it too!

bought the game and played it for 6 hours, then started listening. I've never had my mouth hang open for so long at a single moment. I also never feel nervous getting stuff wrong in his games. I don't mind cause I love replaying it

2019-02-10 15:04:36 +0000 UTCEh...we do give a little warning when we get into deep spoiler territory but I'd recommend you not listen until you've played a decent chunk of the game. The whole thing is, in essence, spoilery. We don't talk about Obra Dinn until half way through though.
