Half Life Documentary Trailer

Hey Patrons!

Happy Half-Life 20th Anniversary to all of you!

Grab a drink, and cut off a slice of cake because on this day two decades ago, the world of first person shooters changed forever - though most people didn't know it at the time. This fact is one of the stories that our latest documentary tackles, but our doc on the legacy of Half-Life explores so much more.

The final version will be ready in a few weeks. I had originally eyeballed today as the release date but it wouldn't be a Half-Life project with at least a little bit of a delay, right? Truth be told, it's practically finished, but this story is really important to me and I want to make sure we nail it so I'm giving it a bit more TLC.

In the meantime, our trailer should give you an idea of the scope of the project and the style of story we're attempting to tell. None of this would have been possible without your support. I want to give a special thanks to those of you who upped your pledges & joined our merry family for Noclip 2.0. That extra funding helped so much and allowed us to add extra filming days and really tell the story I wanted to tell.

I hope you enjoy the trailer. Let me know what you think.

Danny

Really looking forward to this. I remember the original half life release like it was yesterday. Got a brand new PC just to play it and wow was it worth it. Glad you’re taking the time to make it perfect too 👍🏻 Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family sir! 🦃

Extremely excited for this! One of my favorite game worlds, deserving of the celebration. Happy 20th HL!

Super pumped to see this, especially after that speedrun the other day :)

Coming from you, a delay is totally acceptable and definitely shows how much you care about it. Glad we at least got the trailer today! Looking forward to the finished doc :3 Keep up the good work, Danny.
