Who is PLAYERUNKNOWN? - Noclip Profiles

Hey Patrons!

Happy Monday to you all, and Happy Thanksgiving to those of you in the Unites States. We may be settling in to the end of the year but over here at Noclip we're busy working on a bunch of exciting projects.

This video is the first of three docs hitting Noclip before the end of the year - our profile of Brendan "PLAYERUNKNOWN" Greene, creative director on Battlegrounds. In it he talks about how is unique upbringing impacted his love of military shooters, how he learned how to mod games, and how the success of Battlegrounds has shaped his life.

In the coming weeks we'll have our GTA Online community feature and a full documentary on the development of Horizon Zero Dawn. Loads to enjoy on these cold, dark winter nights. Or summer evenings for those of you on the underside of the planet!

I do hope you enjoy it. Let me know what you think!

Another great video, Danny (Noclip). You really know how to tell a story through documentary.

I really enjoy the way you're trying new things in your videos, especially in those "smaller" formats. If this episode was a video game I'd say it has great environmental storytelling but that is kind of the wrong term for a video edit I guess. The way you let the emotions of streamers play against the lack of narration was a great idea, especially to frame the interview and narration in between. Really hoping to see you and the /noclip series continue to evolve like this in the future :)

Great video, Danny. Also, your taste in backing tracks is impeccable.

Peter

Great stuff as usual. There are some other documentary makers like Kim Justice I really enjoy but the way you're capturing this stuff first hand as it happens is like nothing else out there.

Shapey Fiend

Production value is amazing as usual. Keep it up Danny you’re producing killer docs!

Majed

I never even realized how deep this story goes. Great to see that mantra - “keep pushing” - does work out. He basically started his career at 40 and by the sound of it he is not planning to stop anytime soon. Thank you for a great insight Danny’
