2021-11-30 16:10:47 +0000 UTCMy interpretation. Mal is a natural Alpha. She basically did a stare down and established dominance. Doesn't mean Tom won't try underhanded backstabbery to get what he wants, since he already has. He just won't be willing to go head to head with Mal again. I also think when she went to full wolf forum she was channeling a bit of Dire wolf that was pretty close to the humanoid/wolf hybrid. In the last panel, she's shrunk down to modern wolf proportions and isn't nearly as massive as when she was standing directly over Tom. She seems to be in the process of shrinking as she turns away. Just my take on it.
