B.A.P "Badman" Music Video Reaction - Throwback Thursday

Comments

fr this MV is such a hard miss. i really wonder what happened in the process of creating it like between idea and final edit... like b.a.p was generally strongly on the social justice side of things so i think the case is it's ended up as the opposite of what it was meant to be..? it's just so incredibly unclear what the fuck is going on and what the message is supposed to be cuz yeh it's just a full on train wreck that i'm not about to defend. i havent seen this since around when it came out and yikes. it's even worse than i remember.

the group in the video are really talented...not really my thing. i might watch another clip of them, if it's a reaction/patreon type thing....which is part of the fun of it all.

So...this is Ace. I assume you are upset with my take on this video...and that is fair. But this is my reaction and have no regrets in my thoughts about it. Respectfully, I did not request the need for anyone to explain anything to me. I had seen enough to form my own understanding of the concept and how I thought it was executed. And I believe that this was the most convoluted and jarring attempts of expressing the problems of violence and hatred in a music video. It completely failed to make me feel like B.A.P was making a statement and came off as a flawed attempt to address a very sensitive topic that should be handled more effectively than what was presented to us in this video. I did not feel empowered or encouraged from this video...at all. The members may have had the best interest in mind when it came to the idea of this project... But in my opinion the team behind this did not do them justice. And regarding the song itself...you may feel like K-pop music released in this period was the best era of K-Pop. And that is YOUR opinion. If you don't agree with my assessment and feel the need to call us ridiculous...that is fine and I am not upset with you... But it's not going to change how I feel about the song. We all have different tastes and I don't know how many times we have to keep saying this.

Yall just had to be there to like this style of music 😅 BAP/TS Entertainment was notorious for the switch ups.
