I feel like he wasn’t talking about her being lost in the song performing the way you did. I feel like he meant she got lost in the song trying to sing it so perfect and technically right that she didn’t allow the emotion to translate to the audience. He said he didn’t feel the emotion coming from her. Like she was singing for herself and not the audience. Like you said…Keyshia Cole sings Love and gets lost in the song. But I can guarentee the emotions do the song aren’t lost to the audience either. You can be a good singer but you have to still be able to make the audience feel a certain way at the same time.
