Misamo "Masterpiece" Debut Mini Reaction

Misamo's debut mini is finally upon us. Lets see what they got to offer!

Misamo "Masterpiece" Debut Mini Reaction

Comments

TWICE museum (YouTube) has all the performances in amazing quality, straight from Beyond Live broadcast. They sang Bouquet as an encore. I always enjoy your reactions and how honest you are. It's refreshing. As debut for them it was a good start, as I had no expectation going in, I enjoyed the EP as a whole. Hopefully we'll have another MISAMO release in the future. Looking forward to your reaction to the performances.

Great breakdown and extra info. I haven’t seen a Bouquet performance. I know they just did some in Japan. I gotta find them.

Do not touch is amazing. But, rewind you (by Sana) and funny valentine (by momo), I instantly liked. Like you, it's not easy for you, took a 1 or 2 more listens to enjoy it more. Marshmallow is a chill vibe and I've been listening to since it was relased. Bouquet was my least favourite until I saw the live performance. I appreciated all the songs more after the performance, especially behind the curtain. The girls did say, it wasn't meant to be on album but with showcase in mind, they added it as introduction to the performance. For me, I find I enjoy TWICE'S Japanese releases a lot at first listen. And this was no exception. I enjoyed how the girls went for a different sound to TWICE. As Sana said, TWICE songs are daylight vibe, whereas, MISAMO is moonlight vibe. And yes, there are performance to all these songs, quality ones uploaded.

After I did this reaction I listened to it in my car as well and loved it way more. The Japanese releases usually take a bit more time for me.

The Report Card Podcast

Mina said that she wrote "It's Not Easy for You" after reading Once's comments about her--how they are in love with her and addicted to her. Also, you are so right when you say that there is a way to do repetition where it sounds good and where it can sound bad. Songs like "Rewind You", "Zimzalabim" and "Super Shy" do repetition in a way where it is broken up enough to where it sounds good. I think a song that is a Masterclass in how to have repetition in a song in a bad way is "Yaa (Stop It)" by Redspin. https://youtu.be/tDO5xcZUbjY
