Thumbnails for Volume 1 Cover

I had previously posted what I was working on for Volume 1's cover, buuuut I didn't end up liking it in the end. Malaya's hair was hella impressive, but it wasn't working for me. So, I made some more thumbnails.

The giant circle in a lot of these is a vintage "phase of the moon" chart I recreated, which I really want to use. I think it'd look cool if I could get it printed with gold foil.

Right now, I'm leaning towards the first one. I like that she's running, because her running in the story usually represents her anxiety getting to her, and I like that she's running from the werewolf, kind of.

The group shot is also okay, but I think it looks a little too peppy, and I don't think of this story as being quite so upbeat? It's not a downer, but it's not like "friends forever111!!!" either. IDK.

It'll be awhile before I get volume 1 published, because I'm planning to shop around to some publishers first to see if I can get someone else to eat the cost of printing this thing. Maybe Dark Horse? I feel like that'd be a good fit. Ugh, who knows. My brain can't handle thinking too far into the future :|.
