Making the "Ever After" Wings!

I wanted to make Danielle's wings for my convention last weekend, so I grabbed the wire, fabric, and determination and GOT. TO. WORK.
Boy oh boy, was this time consuming. ENJOY!

2025-03-18 02:20:40 +0000 UTCWhen I want a thicker thread to sew up something hearty or use as a wrap, instead of embroidery thread, use crochet thread! Nice continuous length, multiple color options, several thicknesses but it's not made to split into smaller threads like embroidery floss.

These wings are the latter. For all the projects in between, I like the term "grumpy fun." Just because you are making something for "entertainment" doesn't mean you don't curse your way through doing it.
