I highly recommend this book

I feel like I've had people telling me to read this for the last decade and a half but only recently that I finally crack it open. Here is a copy of it. "One River" about the ethnobotanist Richard Evans Schultes. It's not just about the Amazon, there's an entire chapter about peyote. It's a pretty fascinating read. File is in ePub format which is not that bad for reading on a phone or tablet

I highly recommend this book

I was wondering if Santore knew about Richard Shultes, then stumbled on this Patron post just now. Shultes came way before Ram Dass at Harvard in the exploration of psychedelics. Both men so attuned to the nonphysical world, but people like Shultes who immerse themselves in the native physical world truly experience the supreme reality. I get a sense that Santore does too. Embrace of the Serpent is a film based loosely on Shultes. Worth watching!

Yes, read it a while ago. Schultes has always fascinated me. Seems like he respected the people of the Amazon in his journeys. His books from his time there are amazing. The pics alone are awesome.
