One Easter, my 13 yr old self thought it was a good idea to corrupt my little cousin into pretending we were both dead on a bench in our Easter dresses for a "death selfie." I had a stuffed blue monkey around my neck for color and took the Pic myself. Absolutely no editing was done. I hate myself every time I think about it π€£π°π£π

2024-08-21 19:23:34 +0000 UTCI was a drama kid who lived in hoodies and jeans and tended to avoid photos when I was in my early teens, but I got into taking film pictures for a while and have a lot of pictures from when I was working at a summer camp in the early 2000s--I don't think any of them ended up online because that would have required getting my dad to help me use his film scanner and he'd already commented that my prints had a lot of pictures of a certain boy. Far too embarrassing. I didn't even start a blog until shortly before heading off to university in 2005, so I also had nowhere to post them.

You're allowed to go through changes and experiment, that's how we evolve and grow as people. If we didn't have the "cringe" moments, we would be shallow souls. Love your memory of you and Nick staying up all night determined to see the sunrise. My husband and I have a memory like that too when we started dating freshman year of college. We stayed up and walked around campus all night until the sun came up. Adorable. Now I can barely stay up past 10:30 pm. Hahaha.
