So here is my question: If you did a series of videos where you did your own interpretation of a book character (either one that there isn't already an onscreen adaption of or that there is, but the onscreen adaption doesn't really match how you imagined them based on the book's description of the character, i.e. Hermione Granger, Katniss Everdeen, etc.), who are some characters you would choose to do?

For example deciding on content (do you research it to death?), filming (do you have a set number of angles you try to achieve or is it just whatever you can fit in), what do editing days look like (do you do it all in one day, space it out, do you order take out to make it more bearable/make yourself do it? Not that I've ever done that... ever... :D )... I'm mostly just curious what the general process looks like now versus when you still worked a 9-5. 2024-02-20 14:18:30 +0000 UTCThere's a lot of YouTubers that size up or otherwise adjust or draft their patterns. Bernadette Banner, Nicole Rudolph, Abby Cox, and Morgan Donner. The closet historian and for fashion but not sewing Karolina Zebroski and Sophia Nygaurds older stuff. Some even collab with each other or see each other at events. Bernadette Banner has a book on sewing, more hand sewing basics. I think she's on skill share too. But there are tutorials and classes and other restaurants out there for pattern making and altering etc. I was a fashion major years ago before switching after a.a. and still need a refresher. Patterns are intimidating! Rachel's early videos were more make it work than using commercial patterns I believe. Duck tape method more draping on your own body then making a pattern works too.

2024-02-20 05:27:21 +0000 UTCI went through and hearted some great questions I had already haha- •how/why you started YouTube •fav piece you’ve created •revisiting old creations and adding or improving? •hair dye process and color and brand :) My question is how did you get started sewing clothes and such-I would love to do it but I’m definitely a plus size (xl-xxl or 16-18) but the patterns I find have measurements that don’t match the normal clothes I wear. I want to cosplay so badly and wear Edwardian/victorian/whimsical clothes everyday and would love to make my own but sewing is so intimidating since I only did it when I was a teen and wasn’t very good (im literally only two months older than you lol)
