Pretty awesome, now i understand better the monophyletic, paraphyletic and poliphyletic...understand the taxanomy...my question:...can plants be close related by DNA code and be growing in different habitats?...another way to put the question, if especies of plants are more related in Dna code they are in similar habitat?

I don't know how to message on this app anymore, but I found a few little bluestem, a New England aster, and 1 oak seedling walking the old train tracks behind my work. All within 200 ft of each other and like no where else. Is there anyway to tell if they are from whatever was there before or are from landscaping? This is in Des Plaines, IL.
