I have a native plant nursery in Fayetteville North Carolina. I have a milkweed conservation project and would like to grow and propigate prostrate but have been unable to find seed or plants. Can you point me in the right direction?

My mother loved spiders…she let tarantulas walk on her any day. She was of Scottish descent. I grew up,on the story of Robert the Bruce and the spider that saved the Scottish independence movement. Milkweeds rule! Very sad to see what’s happening to the native wildflowers. Ladybird Johnson would be horrified.

Any chance the 2 hour podcast with Alan is uploaded here some time soon? as random ads screaming right at me any moment just ruins it all.

That tarantula can go straight to hell! Goddamn it! I would have a heart attack if that thing crawled on me. I'm less afraid of a damn Boomslang than I am of that tarantula. Give me a rattlesnake any day! GAK!

Illinois has state biologists, but they’re spread pretty thinly, and Ag is king. You’d think, with all the Texas Pride BS, there would be more of an effort to conserve what is special about the state.

Definitely not at the level a state like California does... I live/grew up in TX and it seems like all anyone cares about is development and hoarding land.

Does Texas have state biologists who keep track of these populations?
