Carnivorous Plants Unedited Video (Patreon-Only)

Hey All,

I've been super short on time lately, as usual since I'm always burning the candle of both ends, but this was such a great operation to visit that I wanted to share it immediately since it will still be a few weeks before I can get around to editing it. The work that Drew and all his employees are doing at Carnivero Nursery is incredible. This goes far beyond just corny collector stuff into the realm of education regarding evolution, natural selection, and ecology. This carnivorous plant nursery is like a classroom. Pardon the long-form video and any potential mistakes in filming because again I have not been able to edit it but I wanted to give Patriots and scribers a chance to see some of these species and how the operation in general is run, especially for the high elevation low latitude species like Heliamphora or Cephalotus.

I picked up some N. bicalcarata from these folks a few years ago! They're great

I finally got my 'bog' in the ground. I am so excited. A couple of fly traps and 3 spp. of pitcher plants.

Damn this is so fucking cool. Thanks to Drew for the education! I’ve had zero luck with carnivores and I hate to be a part of the problem. Best to admire from afar unless you got a nice set up.

Fantastic! Thanks so much.

I liked his talking about the dew point, because it's the only accurate measurement of how much water is present in any column of air. Humidity doesn't really mean much, the dew point is what matters. If the humidity is 100%, it's not raining....you're underwater. Did you ever see GG Allen? I did. I stood in the back of the room right by the door in case shit was thrown or eaten.

Is pretty awesome
