Texas Freeze Plant Update

Brutal ugh

They should.

We got down to 12° here in the Northwest nubbin of Oregon. I tried to move some of my younger and smaller plants inside, but if it was big or in the ground, it had to fend for itself. We'll see what survives as it keeps warming up this week. Even my bathroom where I keep my cacti and succulents got down to 46° for a few days. They seem okay, but it was definitely approaching the lower end of their preferences for some of the mesembs.

I lost a lot of the gulf coast Texas natives I planted last spring and summer. Hoping they all at least resprout from the roots.

I'm on the Southern Oregon Coast, mostly high winds and heavy rains here...in the 50's temp wise. Heavy saturated ground, with flash flooding. I have a tropical greenhouse for my more delicate plants, and my more delicate sanity, lol... it really helps buffer the environmental extremes. Cheers, Joey!

We're doing freezes into the teens all week here in Virginia and I'll be interested to see if I lose anything other than the figs (which will probably die back to the soil at most. They've survived worse!). Most everything else is native and/or has a range into much colder areas.
