I've got a little bit of A. glomeratus growing in the fields on my quarter section here in Central Oklahoma, but it doesn’t get nearly that tall.
I'm certainly glad to have as many native grass species out on the property as I do, the cattle industry has certainly run amok with all these non-native invasive grasses they brought in around here.
There are quite a bit of carboniferous period marine fossils out in that area near Lake Tenkiller, but you have to pay attention to where the Corp of engineers land around the lake is if you want to collect in the area.
