"BedMate 9-3, we seem to be getting some anomalous readings here. Did anything strange happen on your last assignment?" the tech guy asked while adjusting a particularly intimate probe.

(Yeah, '9-3', did anything strange happen?) my 'rescuer' and now mental roommate repeated to me internally.

“Well…funny you should ask. You see, I was just lying there, in bed, ‘cause you know… BedMate… when a robber broke in!"

"A robber?"

"Yup, he broke in and.. uhh pointed some weird tech thing at us and ZAAAP!"

"Zap?" he said, while 'coincidentally' sending a few 'zaps' of his own along the probes in my required 'medical-wear'. 

"Mmmhmm, ZAAAP!" It was getting harder to hide my growing excitement. 

"Of course.  And who, in this scenario, is us?"

"Didn’t I say? The client, J..Jamie, and me, o...obviously." The tiny shocks weren't slowing down. If anything, they were speeding up, in sync with my own deep breathing. 

"Obviously. And what happened next?"

"OooOOHHhh. . Well, then I mmmmust have passed out, b..because when I woke up, the client was laying on the fffloor unconscious, 'uhh, uhhh' but not really because actually, he was in mmmy head with me! See?!" I finished with a shudder. It was coming. 

"So… you got zapped and now you’re hearing voices in your head?"

"What?! OHHh God. Uhh hehe No, not voices, a voice. And nnnow we need you to use your super tech...powers to get him back in his body."

"For now? Nothing.  I’m pulling you off of active rotation.  You’ll be staying here at headquarters while we work on a solution. You can use your regular room and you’ll have full run of the place, but you’ll need to stay on site in case anything else strange happens."
