STEPH SINN INTERVIEW + NSFW PHOTOS

Hi guys, I'm really excited to share my long-delayed interview and nude photoshoot with STEPH SINN aka @steph_in_space.

We shot these photos with Linus Dotson Photography back just before the pandemic hit the US. I also designed these questions many months ago and my friendship with Steph has since deepened. Seeking out new models to work with has given me so much more than the exposure or artistic intrigue that maybe I'd hoped for; it's helped me feel part of a community of like-minded souls. You can't put a price on your sense of belonging.

Looking at it now with fresh eyes and several months of life-changing events, it's that much more beautiful to me! Enjoy this exclusive look into the world of STEPH SINN and CAITLYN SWAY.

Caitlyn:Thank you so much for working with me on the latest edition of SWAYMAG.

You mentioned to me once that you used to smoke weed frequently, but you stopped because it “taught you what you needed to know.” What did it teach you?

Steph: I used to be the biggest stoner and had a serious dependency on weed. I smoked before, during, and, after everything and even drove around with a bong in the back seat of my car. Just over two years ago, I went through a pivotal life transition and left smoking behind for the betterment of my life. I am not ruling it out of my life completely, but I am honestly scared that it will dominate my life again if I am not vigilant.

I think marijuana is an earth teacher. It is pure medicine that can be a powerful healer. It taught me a lot. The main thing being that, it taught me to think outside the box and to see from different perspectives than my typically-working mind. It opened a whole world to me that was right in front of me but I had never truly seen. It heightened all my senses, and it showed me how vibrant and  interconnected and beautiful everything in life is. It taught me that I was a creative soul and to embrace it fully. It taught me to be more of a conscious witness to the thoughts in my head instead of constantly being caught up and stuck within them.  Those are pretty profound things from my viewpoint. It sounds cliche but smoking weed totally changed my life.

Caitlyn: I think I have a sense of what you mean. Marijuana can enhance your life, or become a crutch. Besides modeling and making art, you work as a Behavioral tTherapist, is that correct? Are you willing to talk about that work or what called you to it?

Steph: Yes, I work full time as a Behavioral Therapist  for children and adults with Autism and other developmental disabilities. Essentially I do in-home sessions with my clients and run programs that help them adapt and express themselves more appropriately rather than engaging maladaptive behaviors like tantrums, aggression, property destruction, etc.

The therapy is rooted in the scientific practice of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA). What I work on is extremely specific to each client, but I essentially teach them new skills that range anywhere from self-help skills like brushing their teeth, showering, or washing their hands to adaptive skills like checking out at a store or taking public transportation to communication/conversation skills like learning how to say new words or improving their social interactions.

I've been working in this field for just over 2 years now and absolutely adore it not only because I have the opportunity to help others but also because of how much my clients teach me. Although I love this occupation, I am a person who does not enjoy being locked into a routine or working under someone, so I am beginning to shift my career into the Health and Wellness world. I am a HUGE advocate of self-care and creating habits that help us lead happier and healthier lives.

This is a journey I have been on for a long while and ultimately, I am making moves towards becoming a Holistic Health Coach. I want to be my own boss and create a business around acting as a mentor for those looking to improve their life by combining a whole plethora of modalities and aspects of wellness together. I want to educate others on how to eat healthier, find an exercise regimen that works for them and teach stress and sleep management practices like meditation.

Put more simply I seek to help others see that they have the strength to make choices that will benefit them by holding them accountable and being there with them every step of the way to motivate and encourage them. This is where I feel my dharma lies.

Modeling is also a large part of my income, but I definitely don't see it as a job. It is simply a passion that I have, and over time learned how to monetize off of which has been SO rad. It keeps me inspired and gives me a chance to express myself in a way that words can't quite do justice.

What does a fierce beautiful woman like yourself look for in a partner? Any deal-breakers?

Although I have been in a monogamous partnership with a special man for almost 7 years, I am extremely aware of the qualities that I am attracted to in him and the reasons why I find him so incredible. I could go on a serious rant about this topic, but I will try to make it as concise as possible. All the qualities and things I discuss are an absolute must if I ever find myself with another partner.

Firstly and most importantly, my partner must be mindful, intelligent, and self-aware. I want to be challenged mentally and spiritually, and spend time with someone who is going to inspire me and expand the boundaries of my mind. I am not into people who are not motivated to reach their goals or strive to better themselves every day. I like people who are in touch with their emotions and are able to communicate about them instead of keeping them blocked up inside. I find non-reactivity in tense or stressful situations super attractive. For a tiny example, if he gets cut off while driving, instead of being a hot-head and flipping them off and getting all worked up about it, they don't take it personally and act calmly like it doesn't even phase them. That's fucking sexy. Someone with good humor and the ability to make me giggle is a must. I'm a goofy gal and need someone who isn't afraid to get just as silly as me. I also find men that prioritize their health & wellness to be extremely hot. Regular exercise, self-care routines and consuming nutritious food (knowing how to cook is an added plus) are just a couple things that let me know they care about their physical vessel and their mental state. If you can take care of yourself, then you can definitely take care of me.

I just realized all of these things have to do with personality, so I guess what I am trying to communicate is that personality is at the forefront of what attracts me to a man.

But side note, if you smoke cigarettes, byeeee.

Is sex an art form? Under what circumstances and in what ways?

Sex is 100% a form of art. The definition of art tends to get diluted sometimes but, to me, it is simply the expression of our creative imagination and this can most definitely encompass sex. I believe this is especially true when we view sex as a sacred act. It is THE most intimate way to express yourself and share love with another human. You are literally exchanging creation energy.  Of course our sexuality is an innate drive we have to reproduce, but it seems to me that many people are so removed from true connection with their bodies, that engaging in sex with another human is not nearly at it's full potential of the pure magic and art it can be. It evokes the deepest emotions and expressive power, which is exactly what art can do for us. Our sexual bodies are beautiful, our sexual minds are beautiful, and our sexual movements are beautiful, and therefore sex is art.
