Kuo-Toa Village - Work-In-Progress

I'm in the middle of coloring this at the moment. There are also a series of underwater caverns below, but I'll show you those when it's done.

The main thing the kuo-toa in this village do is capture travelers to serve as slaves or sacrifices. This is one of the reasons people stay at the godawful inn nearby. When the choice is either sleeping on a bed that smells like weapons-grade cat urine or getting brutally sacrificed to an imaginary fish goddess, most people would choose the former.

Most of this is above water. There's another level below this that's entirely underwater. There's a mollusk farm, some residences and a few other things. If your players aren't coming in peace, it's probably the best way in. Well, as long as the wizard knows Water Breathing.

Hm- or is this a village that's partly above water? I see walls and a gate, a pond etc. Still, the underwater levels could play with a player's expectation of a very 2D layout. Going two levels down, past murderholes, only to have to come back up a level would add nicely to the challenge, particularly if the lower level has fake 'locked doors down' and an inobtrusive way back up. Well, you're the one doing the work, whatever you think works.

For the Kuo-Toa village, I'd like to suggest working with the map you already have... and adding, at some point, an additional layer or so of areas with no stairs to them, you have to think to look UP and swim to them. Actually, I see stairs, so I imagine another layer is coming.
