I also remembered there was some resentment surrounding the execution of the show. I am sure 2PM themselves were upset about it to some extent that they did not get to relax a little, and understandably so. They were worked nonstop by their company to the point where Nickhun said on the KPop Daebak show that there was a time he couldn't do something as simple as putting on a smile because he was so exhausted (I recommend watching the show btw). Nevertheless, I am glad they got to do Wild Beat and in hindsight, I think the members probably appreciate the experience as well. If it wasn't for the show I don't think they would have had the opportunity to do something like getting a part-time job traveling through a foreign country with their friends. Ever. Especially now that they are in their 30's, if they are going to go on a trip together be it on their own time or for a show, it would probably be something along the line of what Junho fantasized this trip was going to be lol

I have really conflicted feelings about this show. I'm enjoying watching it with your perspective as an Australian, so this is fun. However, this show was somewhat upsetting to Hottest at the time (and probably 2PM to some extent). 2PM had basically been working non-stop in Japan for many years, with some time in Korea here and there. They were exhausted and underappreciated at JYPE in favor of younger groups. In the "Helpful Guide" video you watched, Junho said something along the lines that they were working to feed the family - there was some bitterness behind that statement. They had lost a lot of popularity in Korea to the point that many people though they'd disbanded, which was rather heartbreaking considering how hard they were working. So when Hottest heard there was to be a new reality show where 2PM were traveling, we were excited because we thought they might be getting a reward to do something fun before their hiatus. Just let 2PM go wild with a camera and you'll have a hit show. (We now have Wild Six, which is a bit like 2PM Show, which would be fun to add to your rotation at some point - it's hilarious.) We should've known better because JYPE likes to put twists on things. When we saw they had to work their way through their time in AU, the fandom was pretty pissed off. The members looked tired. They really didn't need to do that format to have a successful tv show. I think 2PM and Hottest have lots of trust issues with JYPE, which makes me curious what this new phase of their journey will be like - how will the new Division system support them properly? I seem to recall they had a lot of input on that system, though it wasn't implemented before they went on hiatus as a group. I never did get all the way to the end (though I've seen plenty of clips), so I'm looking forward to your reactions. (If any Hottest are here and want to correct me on anything or add your input, please do.)

Yes. I absolutely agree. Of all the kdramas I've ever watched, it will always have my number 1 spot.

Junho and Jun K were sure to be tired since they were also having Japanese activities at the same time. All of them really needed a vacation. I felt sorry that they had to treat this as an activity of sorts but it was an experience for sure. I've watched it many times and never tire of it. It's so interesting to watch it again with someone from Australia :) I'm happily anticipating next month.
