Core Principle:
Magic operates through a structured symbolic language - Sigilic Grammar. Each spell is a combination of symbolic actions and elemental forces, drawn into the world through sigils, chants, or runes.
Components of a Spell:
Action Core - the verb or function of the spell (I.e., Pierce, Bind, Suppress).
Element Base - the force or domain used (I.e., Fire, Dream, Holy, Chaos).
Modifiers - adjust scale, intensity, duration, targeting, or condition.(Combinations and chains are possible)
Casting Methods:
Sigils - Visually shaped glyphs. Require precise intent or gestures. Fast and flexible but mentally taxing.
Runes - Sigils engraved into objects, skin, or tools. Triggered with mana, blood, or speech. Offer persistent or delayed effects.
Chants - Spoken invocations. Easier to use but less precise. Often limited in use for activation. More mana intensive than sigils.
Focused Ideas:
Elemental Bases can be physical (Fire, Wind, Earth), conceptual (Dream, Charm, Wrath), or metaphysical (Zero, Death).
Action Cores are fundamental verbs such as Project, Sever, Conceal, Summon, etc.
Examples:
Project + Fire → Fireball
Conceal + water + Dream → Illusory mist field
Bind + Dream + Conjure → Soul-link that summons familiar
Advanced Spellwork:
Casters with deep skill speak in full arcane syntax, manipulating vectors, effects, and conditional triggers.
Sigils can be stacked or embedded into complex magical arrays.
Magic users may imprint runes on themselves for semi-permanent effects.(I.e.,Dog of the Capital’s body enhancements)
Limitations:
Magic relies on external rules and structure.
Susceptible to anti-magic fields, Law interference, or disruption of chants or symbols.
Core Principle:
Chi is the raw, living energy of emotion, and personality. It is shaped by identity and inner truth.
Foundations of Chi:
Feeling - Emotional state determines strength and flavor of chi.
Intent - Pure intent shapes chi into sharp focus or resilience.
Personality - One's nature defines how chi manifests. Falsehood or internal conflict causes dysfunction.
Chi Colors represent personal traits:
Crimson: Wrath, explosive offense
Azure: Clarity, flowing defense
Gold: Leadership, domination
Pink: Obsession, compelling
Amethyst: Insight, illusion
White: Order, control
Chi Techniques:
Forms - Martial strikes infused with energy.
Flows - Sustained enhancements to speed, perception, stealth.
Fields - Personal domains that impose one’s nature on reality, similar to Law Domains.
Limitations:
Unstable if emotions overwhelm the user.
Requires introspection, discipline, and acceptance of self.
Core Principle:
Some rare individuals combine internal essence (chi) with external magic (sigils) or natural world rules(law). These users must harmonize their emotions with symbolic structure, bridging instinct and intellect. It is also possible to implement natural or personal laws within chi as a conduit for magical influence.
Mechanics:
Chi as fuel, magic as form - Chi can power and personalize magic spells.
A fireball spell cast with crimson chi curves mid-air and carries emotional weight.(I.e., Raging Dragon)
Runed circuits or paths - Hybrids can tattoo sigils onto their energy pathways or body parts. Movement or intent activates spells with or without verbal components.(I.e., warlocks/pact-holders)
Law resonance via emotion - Mana alters how a spell's Law manifests through the flow of chi. A pink-silver chi user casting [Mute] may turn silence into a romantic hush rather than a blunt block.
Examples:
[Hate Brand] - mana-augmented aura attack that marks enemies for increased damage.
[Dream Veil Break] - Chi-driven reveal spell that pierces illusions and reads thoughts.
[Velvet Execution] - A Charm Law-empowered strike of emotional confusion and seduction.
Issues(???):
Emotional inconsistency causes backlash.
Chi-Magic/law fractures can lead to spell corruption or soul instability.
Only those with cohesive identities can maintain a balance.
Note: This is mostly random meta bullshit for now lol, so this is subject to change if I can think of a better approach to Laws.
Core Principle:
Laws are not systems of power but truths that define and hold the world. To touch a Law is to become a fragment of reality itself. Magic and chi can simulate a Law's effects, but Law users impose their will directly on the world. Angels, Devils, and higher entities can only achieve Law use to this extent. The only exceptions are hero bloodlines and mythical mutations.
Nature of Laws:
Exist as cosmic constants. Examples include Charm, Greed, Dream, Justice, Obedience, Pain.
Not learned but embodied. The Law chooses those who align with its principle.
Often born through trauma, obsession, or philosophical revelation.
Law Progression:
Awareness - Aura or emotional resonance with a Law.
Expression - Can form Law-based techniques.
Field - Tenets, Project a domain where the Law overrides natural law.
Truth - Becomes indistinguishable from the Law itself.
Examples:
A Charm Law user doesn't "cast" charm. They embody seduction, causing loyalty and emotional shift through presence alone.
A Dream Law wielder manifests imagination as space, turning thought into terrain.
A Zero Law user can affect the natural and unnatural laws around them, bringing them to stasis and rendering them inert.
