I heard so many things about Asta being really annoying because of his voice but I don’t see it. I really love his energy and I’ve laughed many times at the way he has said things (not in a bad way of course).
2021-12-05 20:52:40 +0000 UTCWhat you bring up about the Asta energy I feel is what is captured so well by the Japanese VA, many apparently find it annoying or complain about it. Yet, I think you get that feeling coming to you from that portrayal personally. The dubbed version of Asta just isn't the same when seeing other reactors reacting to the dub, I just can't watch it.

Also Tabata has mentioned in previous interviews that when making Black Clover he took inspiration from a lot of other pieces of media or history such as Bleach, Berserk, YuYu Hakusho, Dragon Ball, Lord of The Rings, Norse Mythology, Hebrew Mythology, Greek Mythology, European Mythology and Fairy Tales.
