ea is trash
Added 2023-12-18 00:16:29 +0000 UTCy’all i’ve been having this hardest time with my game since for rent came out. even with the newest patch i’m still having issues with infinite loading screens, extreme lag, and crashes. i really wanted to a get a cute lil holiday update out before christmas…
when i released the portsim 1.2 update in october, i had completely started in a fresh save and had to add every lot, household, object placed with tool, etc again. i know my builds are detailed but the save’s file size is still smaller than a lot of other saves and there’s no reason i should be having this many issues. don’t even get me started with residential rentals. even after reinstalling the game and going into a new save with 0 mods in my folder, there’s still so many problems.
anyway im just letting y’all know what’s going on! i’m gonna make a speedbuild tonight so i can talk more about it. also sorry i’ve been inactive, i’ve been doordashing all day every day to help my mom out with medical bills and it sucks that all the free time i’ve had has been wasted cuz ts4 has so many issues. i’m still gonna keep trying but it’s super frustrating!!! i just wanna get this update out so everyone can play with it. i wish ea would focus on fixing the game’s issues instead of pumping out half assed packs over and over.

The game is a resource hog. EA won't admit it, but their minimum and recommended requirements are fucking WRONG. And it gets worse with each successive release. I recently upgraded to a system running a Ryzen 9, 32 Gb of RAM, with a Radeon RX 6850M XT and I still get the occasional freeze. EA is trash indeed.

I love love love PortSims so I really hope you can push through. You save is my absolute favorite. It just feels so real and reminds me of childhood. lol #wrongsideofthetracks
