2022-03-31 19:29:24 +0000 UTCSince the Patreon support team is obviously examining your images carefully, why don’t you create an image with all the genealogies of the characters you draw? This will educate them so that they will know they don’t involve incest, and they may ask you to take fewer of them down if they know that. E.g. Sarafina + Sarabi is not incest but Sarafina + Nala is. They probably don’t know that. Also, it might confront them with the absurdity of policing your work in this way. Maybe also you can put a link in the genealogy image to Jonathan Haidt’s excellent research on sexual morality and moral dumbfounding, it offers an interesting and potentially useful perspective on consensual non-reproductive incest ( https://doi.org/10.1111/j.1559-1816.2001.tb02489.x ). I personally find incest a turn-off, but if it is sterile and both parties are consenting I’m hard-pressed to find a reason it would be harmful to anyone. This is the idea Haidt explores in his work- people confusing personal *physical* disgust with *moral* disgust.
