Procedural planets and reward tier changes

Hello, sorry for falling off the radar again recently! But I'm back now with a new procgen series, this time on generating planets. I hope you'll find it interesting :>

In other news, I'm changing the reward tiers. Patrons pledging $8 or more will now have early access to new tutorials (probably a few days to a week early). However, I'm removing the tiers for getting support on personal projects, since I unfortunately don't have time to respond in a timely manner at the moment.

Hi Sebastian! I have been watching your YouTube videos for years. I recently became a patron. You may be interested to know your videos have been seen in many local programming events in my city, due to their quality and clarity. I am curious if you've stumbled across Transvoxel in your analysis of voxel tesselation: https://transvoxel.org/ I would love to see this algorithm given your treatment, and possibly used to solve your planet generation LOD woes. I'll even pay a good sum to see it. :)

Hello Sebastian! This video is super nice! When it ended I was like, where's the second part?! Great job!

Seb, its so great to have a new series from you, i mention this only to share knowledge, perhaps you are aware but @ 12:46 you said that 256 sq is the max amount of verts a mesh can have, i believe i am right to say that Unity now supports 32 bit index buffers (supports up to 4 billion vertices)

Thanks, happy to hear it! :)

Hi! I currently don't have any plans to cover a spherical LOD system. I know it's something many people would like to see though, so there's a good chance I'll do something on it in the future. In that case, I would probably do it as a separate series for the sake of clarity.

Thanks for the series, its pretty great. In the starting of the episode you said that LOD system wouldn't be implemented in this series. By that you meant the whole framework is divided into different series or LOD subject won't be touched at all here like how you touched in "Procedural Landmass" series?

This series is great so far! This stuff is right up my alley. Keep it up!
