October's Plan

Morning, everyone.

Ch7 was released to the public on Friday and it's great to read all the comments on f95 and Newgrounds from the people enjoying it. The weekend was pretty busy as I spent it formulating plans and doing some research.

The game is now available on itch.io and gamejolt, a bit of a last minute decision between Margo and myself as I was going to hold off on marketplace sites until the game was complete, but we're deep enough into the project it should be seen as a pretty good sized demo.

September was a mess, but Ch8 has been fully written and Margo is editing it to make sure it makes sense. Chapters 8, 9, and 10 are kind of a big, important chunk of the story so I'm really taking my time to make sure it comes out the way I want. I'll begin writing Ch9 soon.

My plan for the Patreon page is to retool the $5 tier a bit to make it more enticing. Ch8 isn't waiting for as much art as Ch7 was so while I'm putting it into the engine, I can do more screenshots spread out through the entire month, instead of just all at the end. I'll also be adding the tier reward of "being able to play the game 3 days before public release" too. So the $10 tier will get it 7 days, $5 in 3 days and then the public release for the rest.

Combined with seeing the art first, the discord role rewards, and access to the gallery, the $5 tier should start to actually feel like a proper Patreon tier haha

Other than that, it's just continuing with the new changes I made in September.  We need longer than a month to see what will stay and what will go. The discord server is slowly filling out, if discord's your thing, and "A Look Back" is still scheduled for after Ch10's release.

Let's see... what else...? Oh, I signed up with another project as a freelance editor to help with the whole "not having a job because of Covid" thing. It's with Starblossom Game Studios for their adult rpg game, Lunaria.
