The Future of Updates
Added 2020-09-06 19:41:36 +0000 UTCThe title makes it sound more fancy than it actually is. With the Ch1-6 bundle pack being released, the question becomes: Should I start updating the bundle pack with each new chapter or continue to release the individual chapters so the downloads are smaller?

No problem, man
2020-09-07 14:31:02 +0000 UTCAh, okay. That's honestly what I thought, and then you mentioned moving the saves, so I was like "whaaaa? I tried!" Thanks for the reply, Unk!

2020-09-07 14:22:29 +0000 UTCIn that situation it wouldn't work because the individual chapter releases would be treated like completely different games. There's no programming from Chapter 4 in Chapter 5 for the save file to call upon to load it up. So, that might be what's causing the problem and why it didn't work for you.
2020-09-07 14:19:57 +0000 UTCHmm.. Last time I tried to move my Chapter 4 game (Because I wasn't quite finished when Chapter 5 came out) to my Chapter 5 Saves folder, it wouldn't work. I've done that same saveswap with other games and it's worked, so I dunno. Maybe I did something wrong this time? I'm not blaming you, of course, this issue could very well be user error. xD

2020-09-07 14:12:48 +0000 UTCI think Renpy is pretty user friendly and lets you port your old save from one version to the other. I'll be experimenting with it this month to make sure there are no issues if the single file option wins the poll.
2020-09-07 14:02:22 +0000 UTCUncle, I like how the content is released by chapter, but not being able to start from a save point is a bit of an issue. Other than that, I like seeing the new content when you finish with it, but the larger, single download is nice too.
