Don’t know if you know this but they were singing live throughout this whole movie, which to me makes it even more impressive!

2025-06-16 19:18:20 +0000 UTCI was on costume crew for theater in high school and we did Les Mis which sparked my love for this musical. I had to do a 20 second wig change for the girl who played Fantine when she gets her hair cut off which took WEEKS to master😭

My grandmother was a lover of broadway, and many of my early memories involve Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, The Phantom of the Opera, even Chicago (I was too young to see it on stage, but I can remember her playing the audio cassette in her car. Roxy Hart had my absolute love when I was 6! Lol Loved watching with you!!

Les Mis is my favourite musical of all time (the stage show more so but still love this movie) I also love that you connected with Eponine so much so quickly. I love that you connected so much with Fantine and Eponine. To me they both really ground the show and bring so much relatability to it. Since she was the only main character you didn’t know the actor for (understandably so) Eponine was played by Samantha Barks who to me is an absolutely Phenomenal West End actress. She played Eponine in the West End in London around this time and is currently playing Elsa in Frozen.
