no matter how many times I watch it, I always bawl at the end. I think there is something so powerful about this story, love, understanding compassion. For us who have lived with mental illness and/or are neurodivergent seeing someone love you for exactly who you are, stand beside you, be your strength when you need it. there is something so powerful and beautiful about their love. The actress who played young Charlotte did such an extraordinary job of picking up all of charlottes mannerisms and really being true to the character. Same with young lady Danbury. I love all the seasons of bridgerton, but this show holds the most special place in my heart. I wish we knew more about the Brimsley/reynolds future timeline, but their story is so beautiful too..

Thankfully I haven't cried as hard as the first time on rewatches, but I have at the very least teared up every single time. And multiple times throughout the last episode. That cut from Brimsley and Reynolds dancing to him dancing alone guts me. They never said Reynolds died, but even if he is alive, he would still be the king's man, having to live at Kew with the king, so they would probably only rarely get to see each other in the years after George's mental health declined and he and Charlotte began to live apart, which is also devastating, with the young versions of them likely assuming they would live their entire lives side by side with Charlotte and George living happily together. As much as I love Bridgerton, I don't know if any season of that show could surpass my love for this show. I really hope they continue to make these Bridgerton stories for other characters in the main series who don't always get to be in the spotlight. With the main show taking two years between seasons to write, produce and film, it would be nice to keep the Bridgerton world alive in those breaks. At this rate, if they actually adapt all 8 books, by the time we get to their seasons, Gregory and Hyacinth will be fully grown adults and able to play the leads without a time skip and a recast.

And then, as hinted when Victoria and Edward tell Charlotte they are having a child and Victoria mentions thinking its a girl, they do have a girl. Also named Victoria, after her mum. And she would become THE QUEEN VICTORIA. Like gave name to the Victorian era-Victoria. Expanded the British empire to every corner of the globe- Victoria. Popularized white wedding dresses- Victoria. The longest reigning monarch ever at that time- Victoria. The girl became queen at 18 and stayed queen for 63 years. Queen Charlotte saying a strong queen is what they need is very tongue in cheek bc the baby in question will become the greatest regent, man or woman, to ever live. George V rule during the Victorian era? He could try but considering the era ended when she died and his father became king before he did that would be hard lol. He became king in 1910 tho! 9 years after Victoria died. Desperately needed geography lesson: NO YOU CANNOT DRIVE A CARRIAGE TO ENGLAND. IT IS AN ISLAND. the channel between england and france is 20 miles at the narrowest . There will never be a bridge lol. Ad of 1994 there is a tunnel tho. it is 23 miles
