Build 11.15.24 (v0.5.13) release notes

Hello dear players!

We’re excited to bring you a brand new build today, packed with fresh content and improvements! This update introduces the next event in the main story, where you’ll meet a new face who will help Neruko prepare for her highly anticipated rematch against her sister.

STORY & KARIN’S CHARACTER

• Added New story event, complete with updated dialogue, CGs, and new SFX to complement the event.

• Added Karin as a new character, including her avatar, 8 facial expressions, and idle dialogue.

• Karin’s Dojo is now available as a new location, complete with a background (BG) and soundtrack.

• Karin's Dojo is now a real estate property, with Karin as the owner.

ABILITIES AND COMBAT

• Added new support for abilities that grant beneficial status effects to the attacker.

• Added Rising Storm ability, which applies the Evasion Up effect on the user.

• Introduced a new Evasion Up status effect that boosts the evasion of the target.

GAMEPLAY

• Cooking and Crafting now provide an EXPbonus based on performance when repeatedly clicking during the process. (Thanks to Drygote for this!)

WORLD

• New Nightclub Entrance location added, with day/night versions of the BG.

• Digital Square's alley now leads to the Nightclub Entrance.

VISUAL AND UI ENHANCEMENTS

• New icon for the Evasion Up status effect.

• Health status icons now feature a tooltip to display the name of the status.

• Over-world navigation buttons now have a drop shadow effect for better visibility.

• Several improvements across the game’s UI. (Thanks to Timmy!)

• Grammatical updates on multiple dialogues across the game. (Thanks to Timmy and LeinahtaN on Discord)

BUG FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS

• Fixed an issue where characters would not get deselected after a combat event dialogue ends.

• Fixed a bug with Health Status effects not stacking when applied in combat.

• Fixed a bug where the event triggerer of an ability or combat dialogue would not clear, causing unexpected behavior outside of combat.

• Fixed issue where Ebiko’s store was available before her story was completed.
  

TECHNICAL UPDATES:

• Added backwards compatibility patch for version 0.5.13, which introduced Karin's character and her dojo.

• Other internal engine enhancements.

MISCELLANEOUS:

• Added a placeholder for the next quest in Neruko's story.

• New item for Karin's Voidcaller sword.
