Wala pa po

TheCheap Gamer

Hello sir... any plans to diversify your portfolio sa international market aside from PH stocks?

Jonar

I can't seem to find po yung Discounted Cash Flow na discussion niyo po sa YouTube. Is it alright to have the link po? Medyo d ko pa po gets, nag iisip pa po ako how the fair value increases if the growth wouldn't increase that much. Baka aside from growth, may iba pang sinasali sa DCF model. . . Maybe you include whether the market's currently a bull or bear one? Or do you adjust the discount rate depending on what market we're at? Or do you include judgment na po ba by then na sasabihin niyo that for a certain stock "ay d na ako sasabay sa bull market, over appreciated na, so sell na to"?

Erly

Pero I doubt na lahat ng stock aangat. There will always be opportunities out there.

TheCheap Gamer

If wala akong makitang opportunities, then ill just ride the bull market. Bull market means companies will trade at higher multiples which means tumataas fair value ko sa kanila even if hindi ganun kalaki growth nila.

TheCheap Gamer

Another question po hehe. I remembered you said that once a stock reaches your fair value, you will sell it. For example po, hypothetically speaking, once it's bull market again and all of your stocks are at their fair value, would you sell them all? Would you then waive your earnings in dividends? Would you invest that cash someplace else so it still earns outside of the stock market? Thank you. P.S. not sure if this is better for a Rational Reminder discussion, kayo na po bahala HAHAHA.

Erly

But its not my top priority in my watchlist. Its cyclical and I maybe late from the cycle. And I am also not very optimistic with Gold miners. I don't know how they are being used except as a shining display or ornaments.

TheCheap Gamer

Hello po! I think in one of your videos, you said you will accumulate APX as soon as they declare dividends. They declared last Aug 24 2022 and May 10 2023. Any reason po why that wasn't pushed through? Thank you.

Erly

I buy as long as below my fair values or bargain price. About MWIDE acquisition of PH1, I don't know since PH1 is not a public company. Not sure whether that is a good asset.

TheCheap Gamer

Sa NIKL youll buy at the dip? And also ano tingin mo effect s MWIDE stock price with its puchase of PH1?

Omar Ilagan

my land is just a small position. Its a decent small cap company. I will add more if its still attractive for the next few quarters but not my top priority stock.

TheCheap Gamer

Yes and they also decreased dividends so i booked some profits since I have positions at low price. Will buy back again at some point.

TheCheap Gamer

Yan din ba dahilan bakit naka hold sya sau? One more question, why accumulating stocks of LAND?

Omar Ilagan

ATI is a local port services player, Manila and Batangas. ICT is international.

TheCheap Gamer

How would you compare and contrast ICT & ATI

peacemaker25

Hi sir, How to generate YTD performance in col account? Di ko kasi ma track compared sa benchmark ng PSEI. Thank you

Jep Piscos

Snap Shot lang kasi ng current investment mo yang Profit and Loss ng statement mo. Hindi mo makikita diyan yung mga dividend gains at booked capital gains mo in the past.

TheCheap Gamer

Hello, Paano sir ulit iinterpret ang COL Port Performace? sana gawin mo content. kasi positive ako pero negative naman port hehe naguguluhan ako. thanks

Judahbenj

Not sure, I am also curious if its working. Some claims it only worked for some periods in the past. I think Gotham Capital don't even use that formula lol.

TheCheap Gamer

Most of my regrets happened during my early days when I still don't understand valuation. I remember buying LR, WPI,ACE,MRSGI, MAX, etc (many more which I forgot) at high price levels and they all end up massive LOSERS that I eventually sold.

TheCheap Gamer

What are your thoughts on Joel Greenblatt's magic formula?

stephen.bayhon

What stocks did you regret buying and why?

Noty

My quarterly valuations are based on quarterly growth rates. NIKL has negative quarterly growth ending 2Q2023. If mag positive ulit quarterly growth nila, then magrerecover Yung previous fair valuation ko sa kanila.

TheCheap Gamer

Hello why P2.73 qtrly valuation for NIKL as of ur latest report?

Omar Ilagan

Yes. But its experimental hahaha.

TheCheap Gamer

Do you have a quantitative rule/ way by which you tell yourself how to allocate a stock? Let's say, arrange them according to potential upside divided by enterprise value and arrange them and get the top X number and prioritize those? Sorry for getting deep in your investing process, just trying to pick your brain.

stephen.bayhon

I see, thank you po. Appreciate your answers, it's helping me learn much po. I've been waiting for these Q&A sessions ever since I joined

stephen.bayhon

I use several criteria to allocate stocks. ATI has growing dividends, decent fundamentals, but the potential upside is not the high compared to other stocks in my portfolio.

TheCheap Gamer

I understand, and thank you. Pero para po dito sa specific example, like ATI, I'm assuming baka po dahil nag depreciate stock price while nag add kayo ng position sa iba kaya bumaba, pero if it's all green, why arent you buying more of it right now?

stephen.bayhon

I have target allocations or budget for every stock. ATI already exceeded my target allocation. If the company becomes more attractive moving forward, then that allocation will increase.

TheCheap Gamer

I don't have limit allocation for any sector. Except for REITS which usually around 20% of my portfolio.

TheCheap Gamer

I have companies in the past above 5%. Its just so happen that they are 4% last month and yeah I did some rebalancing. I can hold a stock lets say 20% of my portfolio for as long as its 20% because it appreciated in price so much. Lets say my initial position is 4-5% then the stock appreciated to 3x, then I can live with that. But putting a 20% allocation as a starting position for me is very risky for all retail investor.

TheCheap Gamer

Some investors have a diversification rule of not having more than 20% in any single sector, and not more than 5% in single name/ stock. I noticed none of your names reach 4%. Is that not intentional and just happens because of your diversification effort? Or do you have a personal rule for your allocation? For example, in your video of the 10 best dividend stocks for 2023, you cited ATI as one of the names. But despite in the most recent report you have stating it as undervalued, your portfolio is listing it as "holding" instead of "accumulating". If it's undervalued, has a clean balance sheet and is growing in dividends, why aren't you accumulating more? I would like to understand your thoughts on this please. If it's because there are better opportunities, do you rank the top 16 or 20 and act on those? Thanks master! Inubos ko na po videos nyo hehe.
