Account suspension
Added 2020-02-08 20:21:50 +0000 UTCHello, everybody!
You may have noticed that recently my Patreon account was suspended and, in consequence, you were not able to access it for several days. This is how it was stated in the letter:

It means that I violated the Community Guidelines, which brings me to the next step. Here is the rule I’ve violated.

The thing is, they do not state exactly what mature themes mean. Moreover, the support team answers only once a day, which means if you asked a question right after you were sent a letter, you would have to wait till next day.
So, I removed all the artworks containing nudity and still wasn’t unsuspended. I was told that: ‘Here is an example of implied nudity. Post like this where the nipples are covered up to give the effect of full nudity, need to be marked as patron only.’ (That was a Nigh Stalker poster of Anthea)
I even had to remove an old post of Emilynn standing topless, but covering her breasts with hands. The silliest thing was to remove my Twitter link, because it had a NSFW background: ‘Additionally the banner on your Twitter needs to be changed because it has implied nudity as well. Violative content can't be linked to or from Patreon.’
There was only one thing I didn’t understand. There’s an option to convert your account to the one that uses adult content, so that people are aware of what I’m creating and are asked if they are +18, before entering the page.

So this ‘mechanics’ is used on the majority of adult websites and they’re okay with that. For instance, Instagram doesn’t block nude photos with covered nipples and genitalia, I’m not even touching upon the topic about posting NSFW drawings (which is completely welcomed on Instagram) but Patreon feels a little extra, huh.
Moreover, I’ve seen some creators posting NSFW photos publicly without having their pages converted to adult status. I’m not gonna share the links of them, well, because it’s Patreon Trust & Safety team’s job to find them.
So, the moral of the story is: ‘Do not write to the support team’. Why? Well, pardon me for not telling that I had asked them a question about payouts and that’s how I had been noticed before this whole story with account suspension happened.
P.S. Thanks to Taylor from Community Happiness team for helping me to calculate the payout.
Best regards,
