The BBC was not censured regarding the programme's skeptical analysis and conclusion, though it was thought that GH could reasonably have been given more airtime. It does seem telling that 30 years ago GH could fill a pricey hardback of speculations, illustrated with photographs of inscriptions & ruins -- and in 2024 "We haven't dug up the Sahara yet, who knows what's under all that sand?" is all he can muster.
