Konstantin and Pearl: Guilt by (Toxic) Association

If you do not know who Pearl Davis is, good for you. She is essentially a rising star in the anti-feminist, manosphere space. Think Andrew Tate but female and with a goofy giggle.
She thrives on controversy but got in some hot water for hosting the anti-semitic, far right Nick Fuentes and 'yes and'-ing his holocaust denial and racism.
This was shortly before a planned appearance on Triggernometry and it lead to an interesting encounter, one which will have you rooting for Konstantin(!) and Francis.
The views expressed are, however, a little different than when we interviewed Konstantin previously so we thought we would compare and contrast the arguments presented in these two scenarios.
In any case, interested to hear what people think. Feedback and comments are welcomed!

It was pretty bad (extremely chummy and light hearted) but interestingly Pearl actually did challenge Fuentes about his Hollocaust Denial stuff more than Konstantin challenged Bret and Heather about their Ivermetcin bullshit.

On the one hand, it seems to be giving her the benefit of the doubt by assuming that she is really stupid, and yet maybe that is what an algorithmically driven idiot looks like. Like a bot that only knows how to gain attention, she just pushes the buttons that even trigger the Triggernometry people.

2023-08-30 05:58:42 +0000 UTCLol it was funny listening to Chris slowly (drip by drip) reveal his true motivation for doing this decoding :) Ironically, even though Kisin and Frances called out Pearl, it was done in such a hamfisted way; almost as if they were apologising for bringing it up. But I guess a little credit to them for persisting with the criticisms. BTW, I'm not at all surprised with the critical audience feedback. Triggernometry have deliberately pandered to and built a reactionary audience, now they get to enjoy the fruits of their labour haha XD! As for Pearl, my god but I think she's 10 times dumber than even Dave Rubin and Lex Fridman combined. Crazy and malicious too, just an all-around trash person.

Perhaps Konstantin learned something from coming your podcast but to Matt's point why have an attention seeking dimwit like Pearl on your show at all? Pearl reminded me of a young woman who had hosted some nefarious folks on her social media platform who ignored a question about doing that and went instead to the number of clicks she was getting, as if that was all that mattered. It is just business, nothing personal. To me people like Pearl are as despicable as Nick Fuentes and his merry band of far right jerks.

We often get forgotten about since the Boomers and Millennials are so large in their populations and take up all the oxygen. On Pearl, if she believes women shouldn’t vote, why does she also think she should be able to speak her bizarre views publicly? Why not just be quiet and cook and clean? Also, Fuentes is a great guy because he showed up to the interview on time? The Nazis were efficient and dressed well….

Pearl is the real deal because she generates actual thoughts and they're all so bad. The algorithm is really upping its intellectual game with spreading her around. I hate this so much!!

(Despite how odious people like Pearl, Brian Atlas, Andrew Tate, etc, are, they do cite statistics, 'biological studies', have guests on giving anecdotal experiences, etc, which I'd guess are modes of scien-tistic rhetoric well deserving of a decoding!)

Like really if I met someone like her I real life I would assume she was disabled and be really nice to her in sympathy. How can she be an influencer????? I googled her out of curiosity and she's not even hot which is the only explanation I could think of. I'm stumped.

Dan and Jordan of Knowledge Fight recently did an episode about a convo she had with Alex Jones. Rising star, eh? That is really too bad. She's awful, and doesn't know or understand much about much. It was pretty sad to hear her ooh-ing and aah-ing about Alex's whacko conspiracy stuff. By the way, great interview on Conspirituality!
