QAnon Anonymous have recently run an excellent two episodes that re-evaluates the story around Cambridge Analytica and the Whistle Blower Chris Wylie.

I found the reporting great but also wanted to take the opportunity to take my own victory lap since they largely confirm everything that I said in this piece I published on Medium at the time that went semi-viral.
I thought some of you might enjoy the article or at least be willing to endure my shameless self-promotion.
Regardless, of reading my piece the QAnon Anonymous episodes are worth a listen if you have any interest in the topic and want to see an example of a liberal coded popular conspiracy.

Great Listen! Blows the lid off what really happened. Was always a bit sceptical of this as quite a lot of folk don’t use Facebook of for their news

2023-01-14 09:47:44 +0000 UTCInteresting. I had no idea the influence of Cambridge Analytica was a bit of a nothing burger. I guess us liberal minded folks were going through grief and looking for someone/something to blame. Unfortunately the folks let down by Obama's inability (Was it all his fault?) to deliver on real change were also looking for someone to blame as well, Trump gave them people to blame and to me who they blamed showed the ugly side of his voters. I will be careful to ask more questions in the future. Thanks for this.

Anyone who followed political science/political psychology on twitter at the time would have read about the limits of political persuasion but I hadn’t thought much about the pretense of “psychographic” profiling and its intersection with hubris of data science (which includes the so called expert witness going on about how, para “they don’t even run simulations”)
