Yeah I listened to the same conversation and had similar thoughts, it felt at times like Bob was leading Nikita to endorse his impressions about Putin / attitudes in Russia, which Nikita only did partly. He was still very clear about Putin’s character and the nature of life in Russia.

2022-02-25 10:45:08 +0000 UTCHi guys, I have to say that listening to Bob talk to Nikita Petrov the other day he did seem a bit uninformed about Putin and his image or state of mind. Bob seems to think that covid isolation has made Putin lose it when to any Europeans eyes, he’s just a scary fucker who’s been pushing at the boundaries of diplomacy for years. Or maybe it’s just an interview technique bob has? I did find his views on NATO expansion interesting but there did seem to be a lack of urgency in his attitude to what should be done about Russia. All that meditating, it’s bad for you! 😁
