Decoding Academia #3: (Fogel, 1993) *Video*

We cover another well known paper this time modelling the 'Iterated Prisoners Dilemma'. Some confusion about payoffs ensues but we hope you find it enjoyable nonetheless.

We blame all errors on the un-goldly hour we recorded. Audio to follow and pdf attached!

Also, sorry folks but special episode will be out next week. It's going to be a regular length episode as too much to cover.

Im going to help you by providing reasons behaind sentence. Cooperation - prosecution has no evidence for increased sentence One snitches, other is quiet - snitch becomes protected witness and provides evidence for increased sentence of the other perpetrator Both snitch - prosecution has more evidence that you both committed a crime and there is no use for protected witness Btw I had prisoner dilemma in class on criminal procedure

I am curious about the encoding of the agents' genome. I didn't exactly follow but I would be interested in seeing more details.

Yes, I've been laughing too. I like Chris's caveat about the Weinstein Bank ... Listen, can people nominate papers? Because, though I have not read any of these, are they not directly in your collective wheelhouse? (Maybe a bit more in Matt's wheelhouse, but I'm not sure?)? https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=YSV9NXAAAAAJ&hl=en

You’ve got me in the middle of campus at my university dying of laughter over the beginning of this podcast. Love the prep work. Clearly, only the best for your patreons!
