June Livestream

Matt is off this week on walk about so we are going to schedule the monthly livestream for next Monday (5th July) at 10am JST.
If anyone has any burning questions they want answered or comments/suggestions put them in the comments below and we will get to them even if you can't attend.
Assuming we don't have the same audio issues as last time we will put the audio up on the bonus feed after a week or so (when we get a chance to do some editing).

No discussion of Bret seeing himself as David, I'm heartbroken truly. More seriously, good discussion. 100% agree with Chris on Bret being the kind of grad student that thinks they know everything, refuses to hear they're wrong, then doesn't understand why they aren't hailed as geniuses. Unfortunately it is common here in STEM fields. I don't know the academic culture outside of the US, but here often those people are just kept around to do grunt work during their PhD, then don't get postdoctoral support and work in industry or something else.
