Interesting. I look forward to the DeMello episode. I guess that he scores so low on the gurometer is an index of how the IDW type of online self-promoting contrarians are really more characterised by style over content. Things like the pseudo-profound bullshit are there really to cover the paucity of the actual content, which, when not just twaddle, turns out to be fairly mundane or banal ("clean your room"). Whereas old-school spiritual gurus like DeMello, it's really more about the content than the performative presentation.
