Yeahh 40 degrees is really hot. I think it's pretty much the same as in the UK, some malls and workplaces have AC but most houses don't.

Oh wow 40Β° doesn't even sound exciting me , I'd be under na umbrella and water that whole time, the darkness of my skin attracts heat but I grew up in a cold country so I'm screwed π is there AC in the Netherlands?

To be fair, England is a country that is usually very cool or wet from loads of rain in spring and Autumn so the average temp is usually 16-23 and so the whole country isn't set up to handle that heat. Our homes handle the cold alot better. When my family visit from Congo they find it cold at 16-18 degrees and I'll be wearing a T-shirt π that being said we also don't handle extreme cold very well. Also no such thing as AC in UK homes. In gyms and malls and some trains yes but A/C is more of a luxury than a necessity lol

It's also 30 degrees in the Netherlands and it feels very hot. I remember going to Vietnam with 35 degrees or Turkey with 40 degrees and that doesn't feel as hot as 30 degrees in the Netherlands.

I canβt help but laugh when you say itβs hot at 30 degrees because where Iβm from it easily reaches 45-50 degrees with suffocating humidity but I understand that it depends on whether youβre used it or not I hope you at least have an AC because I canβt imagine surviving a summer indoors without one
