A Common Ground to welcome new Patrons.

For all you new to the Patreon account, we have a tier that prompts us to make videos about our stories from the road. We call those videos Common Ground, and this one is dedicated to our ever-present queen of the second channel, Anina Keller.

This is our third installment in that series, about hitchhiking in Japan and the old women it terrified.

Hi Anina, thanks for the added comment. I had no idea this was a thing. Thanks for the share.

mmm Evan so you dont drive for the same reasons I still dont have a drivers-licence (even though i am almost 28) People with ADD "tend to have" issues with staying focused and I wouldnt want to be the reason someone gets hurt or killed.

My racoons <3 Thank you! And again sorry it took so long to respond to the email. My internet connection on vacation wasnt stable.

Evan thanks for the response I appreciate your candid and open nature. You'll probably note by now I like to get stuck in with comments and I'm eternally grateful for the monkey episode. I saw Chris when he was in Adelaide and it was inspiring you are a chip off the old block for sure but your own flair and personality makes you my favourite acquaintance that I've never met. Thanks mate.

I don't drive for a variety of reasons. The first is that from 15 until I was 20 I didn't live in a country where driving was allowed or obtainable for me. Then, I read the stats on people with ADD and it claimed they died most often in car accidents due to distractability. Not sure if it is true, but it made me hesitant to get a license. By 25, I was just kinda used to it. I normally live in countries or cities with good public transit. Now I'm 33, and as much as I'd like the skill I'm just kinda lazy about it. I suspect I'll get around to it eventually. My wife and sister don't drive, either. Sister for the same reasons. But the colourblindness is why I don't fly. That's what I was supposed to be, by lineage. I'd never tell anyone to fuck off for a genuine question. I'm an open book, especially to my patrons. :)

Evan, personal question so feel free to tell me to go F off. You mentioned you don't drive and in another vid you mentioned that you had red green colourblindness, correct me if I am wrong, is that the reason?. I would imagine driving is something you've learnt along the way but can't legally drive? Sorry I don't have experience with this and want sure of the other countries rules. Ps love the light timber and white joinery of your kitchen.
