More junk on Connextras!

Time for round 2!

https://youtu.be/8L1eeSMMDmg

There's a lot of weird stuff in this one. I'm having fun with these! I hop you like them as well.

FYI, I'm pretty far along in the next main channel video believe it or not. If things go well that will be done in just a couple of days!

Connections! I love that series. Since you like that one, I highly recommend Tim Hunkin's The Secret Life of Machines, if you haven't heard of it already. Available on YouTube, each episode covers the history & function of a common household or business machine.

Indeed. Countless GA and experimental aircraft use Garmin.

Darren Pierce

I came to the US because Microsoft bought the Automap team, and I worked with the team that created that product. If you need any help with the technical stuff on navigation systems, let me know. (presses garage door opener - neighbors garage door opens)

I enjoy playing Set.

Jurassic_Jacob

There's a spot for the 8-track next to the cassettes behind you. ;-) And I still do CD-R's.

Arthur Robillard

Think of Set like a manual, competitive, visual Sudoku. I used to really like it until I met a friend who sees sets like Neo sees the damn Matrix. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Set_(card_game)

Travis Snoozy

I hope these videos never end.

Thanks for making me laugh again! We used to play the game "Set" a lot at University, during breaks, it's extremely easy, maybe even a bit slapsticky ;-). O ja, the little Dinosaur should also go into the set ;-)

If it's wrong, then I don't want to be right

Is it wrong that I'd rather watch someone else go through their boxes of junk instead of going through my own boxes?

Jim Smith

Garmin are still a pretty huge company; navigation equipment for the marine leisure and GA aviation fields are probably their biggest markets. The G1000 is pretty ubiquitous as a GA "glass cockpit" solution.

I've got 2 of those 1/4" to 1/8" stereo plug adapters here on my desk--I don't know why. I've had them for years and years from back when I had a component stereo system, but why they're still on my desk in 2020 is beyond me.

Don Eitner

Set is a decent game, but I don't think it's approachable for people who aren't really good at logical thinking.

Michael Dunn

I think those brushes are for cleaning your vinyl records maybe?

Drew Moncada

The slightly sticky plastic sheet you examine at 21:15 is used in the process of making vinyl stickers with a vinyl cutter. It's variously called contact paper, transfer tape, or transfer paper. You can see the process here: https://youtu.be/V4dDKhp1Ls0?t=89

Aaaand welcome to another episode of Alec's Junk on Oddity Archive!

Mark Hesse

You have to keep Set. It's the best game.

Does the email I got for this post count as 'junk' mail?
