I forgot to post this

Well, oops.

I am still sitting on the last Laserdisc video because it was flagged as not suitable for most advertisers (of course) and I'm awaiting the email saying it's ok.  The dollar sign in my Video Manager has turned green again, so I *think* it's been approved, but I'm waiting for the email anyway because I'm paranoid.

Also, I've been rather inconsistent with who gets early access and all that.  I apologize for that...

This is the first "bonus" video on EVs that will go up alongside Laserdisc part 3.  Feel free to view it now!

Well, that's the hope! But EVs have been weirdly politicized and can be divisive, so I feel like I better not make it the "weekly video". Depending on the reaction, though, perhaps future videos will!

Yes, exactly. What I think will likely need to happen is the utilities will need to provide a new type of service where smart EVSE units are installed that know what car they are plugged into and can bill the owner of that car's account. They could perhaps charge double rates initially to cover the cost of the installation and after that just bill as normal. Apparently vehicles with CCS fast charging do have a unique identifier that gets communicated to the charger, and perhaps it would be wise to push that to standard charging as well. Or you could just put an RFID reader in the connector and stick a tag on the car. That'd be pretty easy to implement, I think, but it could be hard to deter people from swapping tags...

Great video! :)

The apartments and condos need to start researching this now. It's only a matter of time before EVSE access is a perk you pay extra for like a covered balcony or a fireplace. Instead of people tapping existing electric rooms (for older buildings) which may be limited they need to run new lines from existing transformers to new transformers and set up dedicated electrical access to parking areas.

Very informative, Thank you

Your subscribers subscribed because you do interesting videos on interesting subjects and you present things in an easy to understand way, that doesn't insult our intelligence, and you have done your research and you know what you are talking about - the particular subject matter isn't really important!
