More progress!

This practice project was a good idea before I finish more fanart/fanfic animations. I feel my confidence growing and my process improving. Going one by one on the scenes, this is cut 11, I have close ups and internal shots, and more f*cking positions...

I'll most likely do an audio overhaul when I go to final. Some slow pans and close ups to flesh out/lengthen the scenes.

Here's an explanation of my process.


This is the Layout (rough animation). I first draw my key pose cleanly, since we're being perve*rts and using s*x as an example, I'll draw one of the "extremes" first, so either the one he pulls out or pushes in.

The green text is A③同トレス meaning the douga/line artist needs to trace A③'s line art. Izuku's hand isn't moving but it will look weird in this instance if I copy and paste his hand, so by tracing the lines it will make the line "boil" and feel more alive.

A2 is a standard inbetween apart from Katsuki's eyes in the middle position/half-closed. Looks weird but bare with me.

The 他中割り (meaning: "other [parts], inbetween" - hoka nakawari) are inbetween references (中割り参考 nakawari sanko). It's a partial drawing, so I will draw what's different (like the eyes closing) then during the douga/inbetween process I will draw the new different part and treat the other parts like a standard inbetween.

You don't need to draw the actual inbetween drawings during key animation, you'll avoid the lines jittering/"boiling" and things will be smoother if you inbetween during douga/line art rather than draw them at the rough stage.

Then I drew A4 which is an overshoot where he pushes past the A③. Then, since it's a loop that needs to come back to the beginning key, it needs inbetweens. To get back to the beginning. I also need to be aware of drag that's caused by weight when inbetweening which is why A4 and A5 are rough and the numbers are in triangles instead of circles because I'm just creating a reference for the motion.

I'll mostly be drawing h*ntai but I'll still write out the process if anyone is actually interested lol. So this is just an optional read. It probably sounds pretty complicated but you stop thinking about the mechanics after a while. This animation is pretty limited right now, if I had more inbetweens I could make the motion a lot nicer but I'm trying to make this project pretty fast so the next one's better.
