Character Spotlight: Thistle

"Thistle is somehow both the most laid-back, and the most high-strung squirrel you'll ever meet. In both cases, you'll have to deal with some kind of smug grin and (supposedly) light-hearted teasing, and plenty of ego to boot. He's rather adept at dodging boots, though, and more likely to shove you into his, if you're small enough. In fact, he's not the kind of squirrel you'd like to be around if you're scared of being small. There's rumours that surround his cafe, besides its reputation for good drinks and a cozy atmosphere."

INT. THEATRE - STAGE

Phirae sits in a chair on stage, looking over at the other, empty chair, before glancing at his phone and frowning.

Phirae: Ugh, I told him it started twenty minutes ago just so he'd be on time, why isn't he here yet?

The door slams open, and in struts a purple squirrel, ten minutes late and with a cup of coffee.

Thistle: Hey.

Phirae gestures to the empty seat. Thistle takes his time getting over there.

Thistle: You know, if you wanted we could have had this interview thing at my cafe, it would have been easier.

Phirae: As if I'd give you the satisfaction. Name and occupation, et cetera. I know you've been keeping track of these.

Thistle: Thistle Pelletier, cafe owner, amateur photographer, and saviour of ferrets that need yanking out of cat stomachs.

Phirae: Hmph.

Thistle: How's your throat?

Phirae: Second question. 

Thistle: No, really. If it's sore I'll give you some stuff for it I brought some--

Phirae: Second. Question. You take pictures? Of what?

Thistle: I'm getting into it, got it recently and converted the back room of the cafe into a photography studio, set up with loads of props and stuff, but I've already for some great shots of the city whilst I've been out. I'll show you my album, hold on it's in my bag here.

Phirae: Wait, no, don't, we don't have time for--...woah, that's pretty high. How are you even getting those?

Thistle: Oh I climb things. Tall things. Everything. And then I take awesome photos. Sometimes I hide stuff about there too. So the pictures are like a treasure map, almost. It's geocaching. If you've seen some weird caches about, they're probably from me. Feel free to enjoy anything you find in them, just make sure to put 'em back once your done.

Phirae: Oh..That's...actually kinda cool.

Thistle: I've also got these really embarrassing photos of you sleeping on the roof last week, let me just find them

Phirae: I am going to destroy your camera. Uhh...Next question. Do you know who's been spreading rumours about micros going missing around your place? That can't be good for business. Or micros.

Thistle: ...

Phirae: I-I mean it's just the notes I've got written here! I-I'm not saying anything! I'm contractually obligated to read them!

Thistle: ...No.
