The BOYZ knew exactly what they where doing. They where extremely strategic in their cue placement. But played it off by making it look like βorder of debutβ. It was brilliant actually. Because each group was insanely good and because of eliminations, it mattered where you where placed in the cue. The last bands to perform are going to stay fresh in the viewers mind, so the boys saw the ones that where most of a threat where placed 1st in the order of performance. POOR ONF having to perform after thatππ I think witnessing this heartbreak from Pentagon is what facilitated ONFs decision to all enlist together. No need to feel these emotions! And also it was at this time the fandom really started vocalizing how we wished ONF all to go together so they would be back faster instead of waiting for members to cycle through the military, which could take years. In this business those years spent in the military cycle can easily be the end of bands because they are so speedily forgotten and replaced with the next best thing. The Kpop industry has truly taught the fans to have a short attention span.

2021-11-08 18:28:57 +0000 UTCEp 3! Unfortunately one of the weaker ones in my opinion: it felt like there was too much filler/faffing around. There were 5 performances previously and 3 here, so I would have preferred 4 and 4 so they could give equal 'behind the scenes' screen time to all the teams, but I am not in charge lol. Block B is one of those choices that I personally think is more about them picking a song they want to cover than really suiting the theme 'song of king', but I love Very Good so I'm not mad about it. It was a really good performances that showed their vocals really well, but I think they could have done more with the theme/arrangement--the Mad Max theme is pretty close to the original concept form Block B's MV. The Boyz unfortunately didn't do anything for me personally. I think it was a good choice of song and I totally get why people liked it, but for me there was way too much going on and it was about the spectacle more than the group and their performance so I didn't connect to it at all. Just my personal taste! I did like the preparation cuts for the teams going into the next round! Pentagon going first was, oof. They got some blowback for their performance and I see why--people could definitely take it the wrong way and see it as like a sob-story vote grab kinda thing--but I really felt their sincerity and applaud them for taking the opportunity to see their hyung off in such an impactful way rather than just going in for the win. The tears from everyone TT oof. Some really great performances coming up in this round tho for the next ep!!
