To start, I apologize for the last poll. It was meant to be Silvers only, but I messed up the post settings. But this works out. Anyway, with Winged having won the initial poll, now we move on to the kind of winged monster
You have two votes. One for the theme, and one for the kind of wings.
If Theme ends up in a tie, I'll do my best to merge both concepts
If Wings ends up in a tie... I'll probably coin flip for the winner.

First off, I’m pretty sure that by draconic sorcerer, he means like in dnd 5e. A human (or any other race) with a draconic ancestor who shows some of the signs of having that ancestry. Like feint scales, tougher skin, and when fully embraced in the later levels (I think around level 14) you get wings. She might still get the elf/half elf makeover with some draconic influence instead of “making a new race”. Second, ethereal wings that are always out doesn’t mean she won’t be able to use them to fly, or that they will be fully intangible. I’m assuming they are going to take inspiration from the angels in the Diablo games…. I think that it would be difficult to explain how she would be able to retract physical wings, and if they were out permanently, she has to spend the next however many years learning how not to hit shit with them. As well as trying to find clothes and armor to accommodate them. I think that by choosing ethereal wings, it makes the transition to flying creature easier to handle and she doesn’t have to get everything tailored for wings which would have to be invented. Retractable ethereal wings would’ve worked the same way, but I don’t think that they would have the same presence as wings that are always out. Third, the only option that wouldn’t have hands is the Harpy option (4 limbs instead of 6) and from the looks of the poll as it sits right now, I don’t think that Harpy will be chosen. Personally, I would prefer the angelic transformation because the dungeon has enough draconic influence as it is already, and I can only assume that it’s final boss will be a full blown red dragon with the core as part of its “hoard”. From a character aspect though, it would make sense for Kata to resemble her friends from the dungeon while also keeping some, if not most, of her human aspects. I think either way the dungeon is going to change how she looks so she will be incognito, and her mana signature (if this world has such a thing idk ask Neo) should change too as the dungeon changes her core.

Means non-existent, as in mirage or hallucination or hologram or similar terms, take your pick. It will also be rather questionable by the islanders imo. Like, *physically* that wouldn't change the body at all, so why? It would be really easy to figure out they're fake wings. Would probably even happen by accident. Personally, I think Bird of Paradise Avian would be best because she could have each of her elements for colored plumage. And I DO highly enjoy dragons and their relatives, but the *extent* of the Draconic sorcerer-ness is what makes me question. Because if a Drake-kin is joining the guard party, and this doesn't say Drake-kin... I don't want a human with scales. This is a personal preference, but I really do not like authors (or any entertainment really) adding a "new race" and it's just a human with a skin change, ear headband, belt tail, horn headband, and/or eye change. It's literally just a cosplay at that point, and is still too human to me. It also might make the rest of the adventurers think staying too long in the dungeon results in bodily mutations to be like the inhabitants if they somehow figure out who she is, which I think is counter-productive since the Dungeon doesn't want her recognized. Overall, I think having HANDS will be super important, and extremely disorientating if she doesn't have them.

2023-09-13 07:45:35 +0000 UTCI think there will be repercussions story wise, since she could potentially fly away (maybe catch up with a departing ship or something). I feel it should be a show of trust and a way of the creator giving her what freedom he can. Thought that's just my opinion.
