Late night thoughts
Added 2024-04-24 17:03:55 +0000 UTCI hid all AI image on Pixiv, so i didn't follow them for a while, but while browsing Twitter, I saw a very good illustration , everything is drawn perfectly, I clicked on the artist profile then I learnt that it was an AI art, AI now is just too good, they couldn't draw fingers 2 years ago but now they could draw it perfectly, much better than what I could draw , AI can also draw hundred pictures a day, high resolution, while it took me hours just for the clean line, then hours if not days for the color. Hours of my effort result in something worse than people typing in some words And that is just 2 years, after 2 more years what could happen.I coudn't help but thinking soon my doodles will be worthless. As if it not already.

AI can only copy, not create from nothing. Humans will always have the upper hand. AI is only a computer program, not a full fledge mammal brain.

It used to be that the most important thing was for a painting to be "as close to the truth as possible". But after photography came along, the purpose of painting changed. The same will happen with AI: the purpose of the painting itself will change. Or maybe drawing will become an act where the process is more important than the outcome. Why would anyone still listen to music played by a human when a program can play it with such sophistication? Don't be too hard on yourself. +) I do an activity to help depressed people, and I've seen 8 people who draw. All 8 were diagnosed with depression, so there must be something to drawing.
