Hello everyone <3 Here's a little set I took the other sunny morning in front of my working room window! I also have to share some thoughts on this.. I also wanted to share it with everyone here this time as a little surprise!!
The connection that I have with nature has always been very strong, and the older I get the more I understand the impact that nature has on us, and also the impact that we're having on it. We can't survive without nature, but it sure could survive without us. We need to protect our planet with all the love and compassion that we carry in our hearts, and it doesn't end with recycling your trash, using your car less often, switching to energy-saving light bulbs, or taking shorter showers for example. It just starts there.
Animal agriculture is one of the biggest contributors to human-made greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and is a leading cause of deforestation, water and air pollution, and biodiversity loss. Yes, consuming animal products is the reason we breed billions of animals each year into existence, and these animals need a lot of space - and their food needs even more space: There is a highly unequal distribution of land use between livestock and crops for human consumption. If we combine pastures used for grazing with land used to grow crops for animal feed, livestock accounts for 77% of global farming land. While livestock takes up most of the world’s agricultural land it only produces 18% of the world’s calories and 37% of total protein. Let these numbers sink in. Seriously, we could END world hunger, if we would use the land for human food (plants) instead of food for animals that we will consume in the end. It just doesn't make any sense, don't you think?
But besides the fact that animal agriculture is in fact one of the worst things we could do to nature, it is simply unethical what we do to billions of animals each year. We have to collectively stop this madness and end speciesism, because, in the end, everyone claims to be an animal and nature lover, and we need to fucking act like it right now. Know the facts, reflect on your daily behavior, and be the change you want to see in the world! And most importantly; do it with love and compassion for the animals. 🐮🐷🐣🦆🐝🐰🐟
Thank you so much, hope you enjoy my input and this little set <3
xx much love
